Major Ryan Chesley began his career in law enforcement in 2006 and currently serves as the Major/Assistant Chief for the Berry College Police Department. Berry College is the world’s largest contagious campus comprised of approximately 27,000 acres. In additional to being a residential college, Berry hosts thousands of public visitors weekly, hosts numerous large sporting events throughout the year, accommodates a diverse range of hosted groups, and encompasses a child development center, elementary and middle school as part of its campus. Major Chesley oversees the patrol division comprised of 10 sworn officers, oversees departmental training initiatives, facilitates the community training program and administers a wide array of safety technologies.
